Career Highlights

  • Working with the Colorado River Indian Tribes to protect cultural resources through the ancestral homelands of tribal members, by securing tribal monitors, enforcing adequate government-to-government consultation, and reducing project impacts.
  • Representing various community groups to oppose development in the semi-rural, wildfire-prone hills of the Harmony Grove area, just outside of Escondido, California (Elfin Forest Harmony Grove Town Council v. County of San Diego, San Diego County Superior Ct., Case No. 37-2018-00042927-CU-TT-CTL.)
  • Helping a local farmer to block Kern County’s attempts to streamline oil and gas permitting to avoid CEQA review (King and Gardiner Farms v. County of Kern (2020) 45 Cal.App.5th 814.)

Community Service, Publications, and Recognitions

  • Provided pro bono assistance to the All Pueblo Council of Governors in opposing BLM’s proposed amendment to the Farmington Field Office Resource Management Plan to expand oil and gas development near New Mexico’s Chaco Culture National Historical Park.
