Speaker Pelosi Celebrates the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal at Salesforce Transit Center Event; SMW Supports TJPA’s Application for Federal Funds

SMW client the Transbay Joint Powers Authority (TJPA) hosted Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other members of the Bay Area delegation at an event at the Salesforce Transit Center, celebrating the federal commitment to fund public transit under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal. SMW supported the TJPA’s effort leading to the recent acceptance of the Downtown Rail Extension project, which will extend Caltrain’s rail service and ultimately the statewide California High-Speed Rail system into San Francisco, into the Federal Transit Administration’s Project Development phase of the Capital Investment Grants program. Federal funding sources under the Deal and the CIG program are critical to advancing transformational public transit mega projects.
