Mary J. Reichert

Mary Reichert joined Shute, Mihaly & Weinberger LLP in 2009 as an environmental law fellow. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Martin L. C. Feldman in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. She graduated second in her class from Tulane Law School in 2008, where she earned a certificate in environmental law and was elected to the Order of the Coif.

During law school, Ms. Reichert served as managing editor of the Tulane Law Review and on the Tulane Moot Court Board. She competed at the Pace National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, where she earned a “Best Oralist” award. Ms. Reichert won the Tulane Senior Appellate Moot Court competition and received the Haber J. McCarthy Environmental Law Award.

Ms. Reichert worked as a legal research assistant for the Alliance for Affordable Energy and as a summer law clerk for the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. She served as a student attorney in the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic, where she concentrated on water quality, solid waste, and electric power plant certification issues.

Ms. Reichert graduated from Denison University with B.F.A. in Theatre and a minor in Environmental Studies. She is a member of the State Bar of California.
